How do I import/add calculators?
Overview:
Nutrient recommendations and Seeding recommendations are calculated from a variety of data inputs, such as soil test results, soil types, irrigation status, and historical yield.
Requirements:
- Calculators
Process:
The first step in generating these recommendations is to create calculators that describe how to use the data inputs to create the recommendations.
The steps to do this are:
- From the menu navigate to Setup > Calculators
- On the Calculator Editor dialog, there are two options from adding a calculator to AgStudio:
- Click Add
to display the Add Calculator dialog in which you create a single-variable reclassification calculator, or
- Click Import
to display the Import Calculator dialog on which you can import a previously created Excel calculator.
- Click Add
Name: Name of the Calculator
Calculator: Location of the Calculator on Computer
Scope: How the Calculator is used (ex. Nutrient or Seed Rate)
Company, Territory, Location, Grower are all used to define the domain the Calculator is available.
**User Tip: To save a step, in the calculator box locate the calculator on your computer, AgStudio will auto-fill the Name information to what the name is on your computer.
Note: You will find detailed documentation, examples, and templates for building a variety of calculators by clicking on the Help icon within the Calculator Editor extension. Additional documentation can also be found for building a reclass calculator by choosing Add in the Calculator Editor Extension and once you get into the Reclassification Calculator Editor.
