Creating a New Layer

There are many instances where a layer of spatial data that cannot be recorded with a GPS, yield monitor, or other spatial records, can provide valuable information for making business decisions. Use the Create a Layer function to create region, site, or line layers by using the New Layer dialog in which you define the properties and attributes of the layer. Then, use the Layer Editor tool to spatially define the newly created layer. This video also demonstrates the various functions that enable you to copy layers quickly and efficiently.
